It’s been two weeks since Hurricane Irma made landfall on Cudjoe Key, devastating much of Florida’s Middle Keys before moving on to cause widespread power outages and property damage across much of the state.
This week, as Keys’ residents were allowed back in to assess the damage and begin the cleanup process, Your South Florida visited officials and residents to get a first-hand look at the long road ahead. Unsurprisingly, the resilient nature and sense of community of the “Conchs” was on full display.
