As a PBS station we’re proud to partner with local schools through PBS NewsHour’s Student Reporting Labs (SRL), where students produce original reports about issues affecting their communities.
This week, we bring you a story from the students at Christopher Columbus High School in Miami – where they attended a recent pet adopt-a-thon hosted by Miami-Dade Animal Services. The mission was to bring about awareness to the overpopulation of cats and dogs in the county. It’s an event that wouldn’t be possible without dozens of dedicated volunteers.
