As of the end of July 2017, 29 children have died of heatstroke in the U.S. after being left alone in a vehicle – one of the most recent cases was the death of a one year old boy in Delray Beach. Surprisingly, Florida law allows a child to be left in a car unattended for up to 15 minutes. Boca Raton State Representative Emily Slosberg joins us to discuss how she’s working on changing this law as well as her fight to put an end to distracted driving crashes.
