The “March on Liberty City to End Gun Violence” was led by former NFL football player Charles Jackson, founder of the Making of a Champion youth program. The outreach program mentors fatherless boys and disadvantaged youth, The march focused on the “Pork & Beans” housing project of Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood, which has a record of high crime, gang activity, and gun violence. March participants distributed 500 bibles provided by the Trinity Broadcasting Network, encouraging individuals to abandon violence and crime, and to turn to faith in God.
